a carpet of ransoms

The image on this card is from my woodcut, 'A carpet of Ramsons'. In the ancient woods in spring time a carpet of green spreads out beneath the trees, it is the pungent leaves of Ramsons or Wild Garlic. Clusters of white star-shaped flowers held on tall stems, nod in the breeze. Ramsons is now foraged as a popular 'wild food' flavouring for breads and other savoury dishes.

All my cards are designed by me in my studio and printed for me by a local small print business which is based in a nearby village.
