The village of Long Melford in south Suffolk, not far from my studio, is one of my favourite places to walk ... especially in winter. As I walk across the meadows to the majestic avenue of lime trees festooned with huge spheres of mistletoe, I like to imagine the famous three hares whose timeless faces look out from the fragment of medieval stained glass in the church windowbehind me, dancing over the frosty grass in a wheel of joy.
You can read more about the village and church on my blog.
